A tough but highly enjoyable game for the inmates of Har Ganeth.

Some luck, a couple of GFIs and a 1d POW put the Pyschotics 1-0 up by turn 2, after Chucker Rat had failed to dodge away from the pacey onslaught of Jeran Ridael.

The Ganeth got greedy on the second kick-off, with Ridael again chasing the ball after Chucker fumbled a long pass on his own baseline. However, the dark elf Blitzer couldn't get close enough and the Ratzz executed a textbook two-turn TD to level the score.

The Pyschotics, lacking Witchelves, went for a loose cage offense. But the Ratzz heaped pressure on the ballcarrier. The Dark Elves were struggling and after a burst of exciting mathematical miscalculation from their coach, a single skull block handed the ball back to the Skaven.

Jerky Rat ran in a turn 8 td and the Psychotics finished the half 2-1 down.

With the luck flowing freely, the second half was as close as the first. A better offensive performance (and a ridiculous number of 2 and 3+ dodges) from the mental patients saw the uber-agile Elfeater dart his way to the equaliser.

And then it started to get interesting.

With Chucker Rat not making any mistakes, the Ratzz found themselves with the ball deep in Dark Elf territory. A decent blocking combination downed Speed Rat and Moc the Knife grabbed the loose ball (burning the final Psychotic reroll in the process).

The Dark Elves caged their way up the field nervously as the Ratzz' canny positioning forced rolls galore. Eventually they proved one 2+ too many and Moc went down. There was just time for Sacraficial Rat to belie his name, making a great pickup and pass for Speed Rat to run in the winner.

A very competitive game that could have gone either way. I just about edged the luck, but Falcone was a deserving winner.

(Though I'm a little disappointed he nicked all the cash - no Witchelf for me, again)
