“This match went pretty much according to professional estimates, especially in the first half, 2nd half was more interesting. The stadium was packed, with 62 000 Blood Bowl fans cheering on their favourite teams and players.
The Allstars won the toss and chose to attack first. The line of scrimmage was cleared out shortly by the Allstars C-Dwarf players who literally swept the Flowers' linewomen off their feet and began their advance towards the Flowers End Zone. And, indeed, the Allstars had quickly taken the lead. It was time for the Flowers to show what they're made of. The Ikea Allstars proved the better, however, as they managed to completely stop the Flowers' advance on the line of scrimmage and turn the situation into another touchdown for them on the last seconds of the first half.
The second half began with the Flowers attacking, and this time, the Flowers' offense was more efficient, despite some trouble picking up the ball in the first moments of the half. The Flowers made a slow but steady advance into the Allstars field until a surprise blitz by Effektiv, the Allstars Bull Centaur (who sustained a niggling injury from the stress of the match), that knocked down Iris, the Flowers' catcher, causing - naturally - the ball to be knocked loose. A race to get to the ball ensued, with players from both teams dodging this way and that after the ball. Finally, an Allstars Hobgoblin got the ball and threw it to another hobgoblin further down the field... and miss-threw. The ball ended up next to a Flowers linewoman, Primrose, who promptly escaped the dwarf guarding her and picked up the ball, hoping to throw it back to Iris. But, alas, the blizzard blocked her view and she ended up just throwing the ball back towards the Allstars End Zone. Another Race began, with both teams once again running as fast as they could towards the ball. This time, it was the Allstars Bull Centaur, Efektiv, who picked it up and ran off, finally trying to throw it to a team mate but fumbling the pass. Now, the Flowers saw their best chance had come. Iris escaped her guards - a dwarf and the Allstars Troll, Goliat - to the Allstars End Zone. And again, Primrose picked up the ball and this time her aim was true. The Flowers scored their only touchdown for the day, leaving only a few seconds for the Allstars to receive the kick-off.
All in all, an entertaining game, though some of the Flowers' fans seemed disappointed. A good performance from both teams.”
