“Sadly my ST4/guard/side-step ghoul nigled. The bastard does that 2 out of 3 games so far... Still; I held a massive ST-advantage with 2 mummies, a ST4 zombie and a ST4 wight vs his 2 golems.
The wolves could be the great equaliser...
So when I started playing these Necro's I had 3 objectives in mind;
1) Neutralise wolves
2) Neutralise dirty player (fouling myself if I have to)
3) Get rid of ghouls
Planning means nothing; execution is the thing. My team was hell bent on following these orders. first my super-star mummy blitzes and KO's his rookie wolf, soon after that my wight seriously injures his other wolf. Before the half ended his dp also was KO and a ghoul BH.
If I had to point out something not going EXACTLY as planned it would be the fact that I did not score.
2nd half I received and things went smoother like a baby's bottom. The opponents seemed to have forgotten to wear anything but the proverbial lacy underwear and were sent KO or even injured left right and centre.
I decided not to stall more than 1 turn and once again my opponents tried everything ensuring they had no chance; the ag4 wight and the one remaining wolf remained KO leaving only 1 wight and a rookie ghoul for ball-handling.
In a desperate manoeuvre my opponent dashed for his left flank but the drive was stopped before it even properly began and a turn later I even secured the all and gave it to the waiting ghoul whom I had placed there in case of just an eventuality like this.
Easy 2-0. Once again nothing he could do.
I can't say I am unhappy about being luckier (of course) but I sure hope to get a more even game vs him some day.
