“Having been heavily beaten by khemri in their last game, the Raiders were dreading this one but they didn't have worried as Nuffle endowed his fickle favour on them.
Once again that luck / success meter really doens't show how one-sided the dice were in this game. Considering the number of times my players were dusting themselves off the ground it was indeed a miracle that there was nothing more than a KO - and only 1 or 2 (?) at that!!
A pitch invasion at the kick-off threatened to ruin the Raiders attack but they recovered and only a last gasp blitz followed by some good defensive play stopped the Manics going 1-0 up in the 1st half. Both teams had their dirty players in action early on but to no avail. Dirty players? They must've been cleaned with fairy liquid before the game!!
2nd half and it seemed Snappy_Dresser's khemri just didn't show up as they lost again and again to 1db's and -2dbs - the Manics desperate plays against the Mummies pulling off some unlikely blocks.
Well played Snappy. I would like to say "better luck next time" but if you do have anything near the same luck I won't have a team left!!

My mummies discovered a complete inability to break armour (I'm not talking about CDs and BCs here, I couldn't hurt Hobgoblins ferchrisake). Over the half, I inflicted one KO on a hobgoblin, while I received two KOed mummies, one KOed skel., one BH Blitz-Ra, and one SI Thro-Ra (ret in disgust).
When a team can't hurt the opponent, they have to fall back on their ball handling skills and...oh wait...Khems have no ball handling skills. At least we went down swinging (like sissies).
Thanks to BB-Pad for the game, I'm licking my wounds and planning your damn CDs demise. Whoever plays me next is going to feel the hurt!”
