You wouldn't tell from the results, but I was slapped around from turn 1 in this match. One of the skinks suffered from being stepped on somewhere in previous matches. And three early BHs made everything look grim indeed. Still, moral victory was mine as I made the first TD.

It almost looked as if the Eagles would go into half-time 2-0, but it was not meant to be. A daring play ended in a fumbled hand-over. (Isn't it always like that? You make the most magnificient rolls, and it all comes crashing down on that last 'easy' 3+ hand-over.)

Soon the Eagles were vastly outnumbered by the grinning Chelskiboys. They would certainly teach us a lesson. But the Ancient Gods must have heard our whimpering mutters of fear. They sent us a saviour to turn the tides.

That saviour was Duff, the opponents troll. Canaries was very proud of his Block troll. Unfortunately, a big guy with Block doesn't go far if you count in Nuffle's wicked sense of humor. Two times Duff manages to throw two skulls at critical moments. Early into the second half, the Eagles were leading 2-0. He certainly deserved that MVP, also from my point of view. ;-)

A fast and flawlessly thrown gobbo made it 2-1 when the weather changed drastically. Sweltering heat. Great, even less lizards on the field.

Still, I managed to hold back the tide for the game to end in a tie. A well-deserved tie for the both of us. The Chelskiboys almost managed to wring out a win, but I was a bit lucky when Chec fell over into my TZ, KO-ing himself.
In the end, neither teams had any lasting casualties, decent winnings too and no loss of FF. A very enjoyable game.

Canaries is definitely a fun coach to play against, and he conjured up some very nice and interesting plays to keep me on my toes.

Rematch anytime, mate.

Hehe, a fun and accurate report by my fellow Jazz here. It was truly an exiting game with crazy scatters a badly blocking but precisely throwin troll and a little gobbo who would have given me the win if he hadnt slipped at the very last. I do agree that the tie was a fairer result and would advise any coach who enjoys skillful plays, good sportsmanship and a nice chat, to play Jazz.

See you soon again bud
