“Bogh chose the Blood Falcons hoping for third time lucky. The first game had indeed been very close, but the second was one sided in the Falcons favour...
Unfortunately for the Girls, this turned out to be a rough game. The Falcons could do little wrong, including stealing the ball and scoring on a blitz. There was one passage of play where the Falcons dropped 3 scoring passes in a row to allow the Girls a tempting look at the ball, but the Zons were never able to get much say in the game when they rolled 5 cruddy handicaps.
In one telling turn, the Falcons on defence used pushbacks to set up hits and took out 4 Girls, including both the remaining tacklers.
The Girls were outclassed by a far superior team and bad dice rolls when it counted. They came back strongly in the second half where they inflicted three casualties in a short passage of play, but by then it was way too late to change the outcome of the game.
----
A rough game there for gentleman coach Bogh. He wanted a challenge, but he never had a hope after the handicaps giving me my full team most of the match (just a Morley's on my 1 SPP player), a blitz and the dice rolls being bad at the worst possible times.
Still he played on honourably, trying for difficult (almost impossible) scores even though he coulda just taken a cheap pass to get a SPP.
Better luck next time dude, I had fun and I hope you had at least a little bit too.
