“Darn. Someone had greased the gloves used by the Kirbys. We played otherwise quite well but when it was time for a guy to hold a woodie still while another one hits him hard in the chin, the woodie just slipped from his hands to the ground unharmed.
Similarly, when one of us tried to pick up the ball, it bounced to another Kirby, who couldn't catch it, either.
My infamous comment on turn 8, 2nd half:
*surrounds the ball with 6 DE*
"At least THIS time someone of us will catch the ball when the pickup fails"
*moves the guy with 5spp to get the ball, hoping to get a skill after multiple failed attempts*
pick up roll: 1, scatters to second Kirby
catch roll: 1, scatters to third Kirby
catch roll: 1, ball bounces away
"I take that back :D"
Outmatched, outscored and even outbashed by the woodies, this was not our match. The only scoring opportunity we ever had ended into a Wardancer intercept. Kudos for Nienna, who almost pulled off a Larson. She was everywhere at once! :)”
