#6 Artain – Dead (RIP) #13 Chaerill – Dead (RIP) #15 Finubar – Dead (RIP)
“Brutal.
The game started really well for Anlec Citadels after Amadan, the Ranger's wardancer was knocked out early in the game, and ended up missing the rest of the first half. This certainly contributed in a quick succession of 3 TD's for the High Elves, all scored by Elthar.
The second half was far more eventful, as the wardancer finally recovered, only to be fouled back into the knockout box. Elthar ran in a 4th TD, but then a strange time portent put them back to just before the play. The foul winds of the Chaos Gate Internettius had warped time itself, and this time around Yvrail needed to summon all his basic training to pick up the ball, although the play was completed successfully.
However the warp storms played more havoc, as the Citadels were to lose 3 linemen in quick succession. First a stone from the crowd brained Finubar, and shortly later his corpse was joined with Artain's, as Nuada stamped on him whilst he was down, and was sent off by the ref. Finally the Citadels were going for a last minute 5th Td, when going for it to make a blitz Chaerill tripped and broke his neck. All this whilst the apothecary was tending to the oh so hideous wounds of a sprained ankle!
An eventful match to say the least, first turn of the first half Amadan leapt the front rank of the oppositions formation, landed on his head and rendered himself unconscious for would be the entire first half.
Things then went badly for my team. With an absolute inability to take out the opposition without causing injury to themselves my team spent most of their time on their backs stargazing.
3-0 down into the second half. Amadan had gathered his wits and returned to the field, time to cause some damage. First tackle he goes down, and was promptly fouled, kicked in the head and put out for the remainder of the match. At least the cheating swine was sent off.
Still a fourth TD was managed by the opposition - twice due to strange goings on which saw my wardancer return to the pitch only to fail to wake up once things restarted.
Revenge was seen when the fabled Ballistic skill of the elves was shown and a well aimed rock killed an opposing lineman. Then after finally managing to knock an opponent over Nuada realeased his pent up frustrations over poor luck and stamped on the guy adding him to the fatalities list. Though a perfectly legitimate move the ref thought otherwise and consigned Nuada to the bench (damned high elf loving ref)
Final revenge came in the closing minuted of the game when another linesman came running up to the feet of my thrower, tripped over and managed to kill himself.
So first game and down 4-0, still 3 of the opposition dead - now how to kill that Lion Warrior that kept scoring............”
