“The Beantown Bruiser league started out with a match that appeared to be a HUGE mismatch on paper. The Peyo inspired If I were a Smurf halfling squad entered into the leagues innaugural match with Jock Itch a much stringer and faster rotter squad.
Well pregame appearances proved to be misleading. With the help of 3 thrown teammate touchdowns, If I were a Smurf upset the favored Rotter dquad 3-2.
The story of the match was the paper thin armor of Rotten Rob the Beast of Nurgle. Three times he was knocked out of the game, the third of which was the one and only casualty for the halflings. 3 smurfs fell before the might of the rotters and will miss their next game and three more fell to failed rolls and thrown teammates, but still spirits were high.
Game MVP, You Go Smurf, was heard saying ,"Wow we won?" The confidence of the squad is overwhelming”
