“The King and his folks may have thought they had the perfect defense when the match started, but what they didn't see were the carefully crafted gnomish bombs flying at them. Maybe the sunshine blinded them too? The two bombs caused two casualties and knocked down a number of others including the King, promising an easy victory for the gnomes.
Eagle however wasn't really up to shape, misfiring poor gnomes and causing chaos in the ranks. We lost the ball and only thanks to our excellent artillery did we stop them from scoring.
The second half was less spectacular as both teams were lacking several players. They scored even when we lobbed everything we could think of at them (the ref didn't notice the first bombs being thrown before he blew his whistle, maybe the sun blinded him too), we scored even when they had another puzzlingly perfect defense (but there's nothing bombs can't handle).

Good game and everybody came back home.”
