“All those old aquaintances of the novels have finally taken to the BloodBowl pitch. Those, as bitter luck proved, Nuffl is not quite used to this ramshackle team yet. The first half started with the denizens being on offense but the Krondor Great Eagles just got a "Blitz" to counter this and quickly scored a two turn touchdown.
No worries yet, so the Denizens set up for a draw, their hopes shattered on the next "Blitz" kick off result. Turn three of half one saw all the three rerolls of the Denizens spent and the Krondor pressing on for the 2:0 lead during the rest of half one. It took those humans some time, but they managed the lead shortly before the end of the first half.
The second half started with Twoflower already nice and comfy in the Injuries Department - which he will examine more closely next game, being a proper tourist - and the weather turning into a nasty blizzard to stop any dark elf passing game. Still the Denizens managed to grap the ball and by turn four scored their first touchdown.
Four turns to go and the Great Eagles down to zero rerolls could have tied the game for the Denizens who got one of their lot in position to receive the scoring touchdown and manage to bring the ball into a nice and comfy dark elf cage. The humans turn eight saw the Blitzer Alfred de Beswick tragically dying on a GFI to put the recieiving dark elf in the Eagles backfield in a tackle zone and thus the way was free for a draw. But the ball carrying elf needed to go for it in order to get into passing range - the blizzard denied any long passes - and, of course, failed miserably, thus denying the hard fought draw.
All together a very funny and quick game against a nice opponent ... ;)”
