#10 Erhart Elfeater – Dead (RIP)
The Good:

This was a highly enjoyable game against a very nice coach and featured the Psychotics almost scoring the finest and craziest td ever.

After 2 Turn 7 dodges, 2 GFI's and a 1dice POW from Sloth, the ball was loose and the dwarves couldn't score. They blitzed Sloth and down he went. He then got back up in Turn 8 and did the following:

A 2+ dodge, 5+ dodge, 5+ pick-up, 3+ dodge, 2+ dodge, 2+ GFI, 4+ throw.
Erhart caught it on a 3.
Teddy supported with a 2+ dodge and 1diceblock - Skull/pow - no good. So Elfhart made his 2+dodge, a 2+ GFI, another 2+ GFI and handed-off to newcomer Kellogs, who caught it under pressure on the 4.

The dark elves made all that (*wiithout a single reroll*) then Kellogs failed the final 2+ dodge.

So very close to the beer Wabstar promised me, :).

The Bad:

Despite (fortunately) stopping the Dwarves from scoring in the first half, the second half Har Ganeth drive stuttered when Elfhart ended his bloodbowl career by ingloriously snake-eyesing a simple pick-up. The Dwarves ploughed through the 6 Dark Elf players and scored.

The second drive saw the four remaining rookies (Kellogs, Jemima, Karhain and Markus) go for a 3 turn td but fail tragically as the dice came up 1,2, 1, 1, 1 making a very quick finish. In fairness, the last two rolls were 4+ and 3+ and by that point the Dwarves had made it almost impossible for the dark elves to equalise.

The Ugly:

An enjoyable game for the Dark Elves, but they would have enjoyed it more if they'd pulled that crazy piece of Turn 8 madness off.

And they would have enjoyed it even more if their 9 (count them) players hadn't been beaten to a pulp by a mighty-blow less dwarvern team who didn't foul and didn't crowdpush.

We threw 29 blocks against a team who had block but no dodge and failed to make so much as a KO. Their 43 blocks against my 8/9 block (4/9 dodge for the few dwarves w/o tackle) produced 4 injuries and 1 or 2 KOs.

The first block of the match was an SI, and the third turn saw another serious injury. Teddy Spitestripper snake-eyesed a GFI and died, but recovered. Then Ag5 dodger (and star player) Elfhart died at the start of the second half. On the other hand, from their first 6 2dice blocks the Psychotics managed one single POW.

Nuffle really hates this team - the cas rate (including three self-inflicted snake-eyes injuries) stands at 10/11/9 after 12 games.

Finally rolled more than a one for FF and cash, so that's something. But with 4 deaths and 3 Si in two games (rotters without rotters and these dwarves) these boys will start their next match at 127/103 with 7 players if the niggler turns up.

Thank god the Khemri team they challenged (up TR and TS) never responded, :)
