“A very tough game despite being up in TR and TS as my opponent had a great run of rolling pows early on and he quickly scored to take a 1-0 lead and I had a difficult time slowly taking the ball upfield (my first turn I got not a single pow!!!) before scoring late in the first half. It was a very difficult drive as I lost the ball when my opponent got a one dice pow on me (but well played by him to chain push my ball carrier to a spot where she could be blitzed). We both gained and lost the ball a few times deep in my opponent's half before I finally managed to score late in the first half.

My opponent had two turns to take the lead into half time, but he made a mistake by ending the move of one of his few potential scorers too close to my line of scrimmage (to put a TZ on my players) and then only had two possible scorers, both of which I could hit without needing to blitz I think and they were both knocked down so it was scores tied at the start of the second half.

Second half, it was again a tough ask. I played a slow cage game, so slow that on some turns it didn't move! Players on both teams were getting KOd or injured and eventually and I was 9 vs 10 and it was real tough going, but I stuck to the plan and used my guard players to protect my ball carrier and eventually we worked our way to take the lead after a tough tough 6 turn drive.

With just two turns left to score, my opponent pushed deep with a few players and I flooded them, and in hindsight, I blitzed the wrong player as my opponent was able to blitz etc so that his AG5 player only had one TZ on him and he needed just to make the 2+ catch, a 2+ dodge and 2+ GFI without RR to tie the game but the catch was dropped and that was the match.

It was a fun tight match against a fun opponent who pushed me hard. The only shame was that my last Mighty Blow player got a niggle late in the game. My team just isn't destined to have Kickers or Mighty Blow players! They all niggle, every single one heh.”
