My star st4-wight missed the game and the hired zombie did only what was to be expected; soak punches and get up again. ;)
When his mummy intercepted the ball i was more than a bit miffed.
Guess that he was too when he ran for the endzone for a 2-0 and failed the gfi.
But overtime finally proved fatal. he scores after surviving 3 (!) blocks/blitzes (incl RR) on his ball-carrier and gets away for 2-1.
Then in my drive first a thrown rock stuns a mummy, then the other mummy fails his break tackle (2+) Drive stopped. Game over.
Still; my team fought far and beyond expectations this game.
“I have no idea what the 61% luck for my opponent is supposed to mean. I sure know what my 46% means.
Both teams suffered from episodes of horrendous luck. Yes, my mummy intercepted a pass on the first turn, but promptly failed his first gfi with a reroll. With ST6 and break tackle he did harass and annoy the opponent and stop him from running away with the ball in the turns after he'd fallen over, so that was good. We didn't really need to do anything else (and we didn't) until in the final turn we picked up the ball and scored.
Our second touchdown... Well, it did look likely, but then we started failing everything imaginable again. It was a failed 1d block, not a gfi, but we did fail some gfi's too.
As overtime started we had 3 players vs their 4 but we also had 3 rerolls vs their 1. They used their only reroll on a 1d block trying to knock over my blitz-ra (who had the ball) and failed. After that things turned out to be easy. Well, we didn't manage to knock their wight over in their last drive despite two mummy blitzes with rerolls, but the wight finally failed a 2d against blitz... Pretty close to easy.
An exciting match thanks primarily to both teams continuing to fail important rolls throughout the match. The zombie did what was expected and did it annoyingly well.
They fought well and could have won had things on overtime developed different. One or two dice rolls different, that's all... Good game.”
