Game started off well enough but I made an early crucial error in judgement in not noticing a TZ before a move - a rerolled dodge failure later and Whitey is away with the ball for an early TD. Even worse, I proceeded to make a similar mistake in the 2nd half with the same end result! I'm an Idiot!
Whitey was definitely pushed this game though with a lot of Blackle on the board opposing his unskilled linos and no Apoth. Full credit for the win - it was a damn hard slog for the elves today and they earned it the hard way.
I did quite well to come home with 2 consolation TDs myself and score a few casualties (2 of them kills!) but I think that if I'd kept my wits about me and not let the pressure of my first div game get to me, I'd have probably sealed a win to boot.
Bloody nice gate meant we're both rolling in the cash, although I definitely got the better end of it not having to replace busted up players. Since I'm facing Goblins next game, I'd decided to take a risk in not taking the Apoth and instead going for my 12th player. Here's hoping the gamble pays off!
