#11 Lubba – Serious Concussion (-AV)
Da Rippas viewed the opposition with respect in spite of the TR diff. The horns-dauntless-AG5 Gutter Runner in particular caught our attention. We went into the match with the obvious idea to hit the Gutter Runners hard and walk in two easy touchdowns. This was not to be...
1st half went according to plan. The rats scored fast (after a speedy recovery, they fumbled the ball at pick-up) and we mowed our way forward to score in the last turn. 1-1.
2nd half things went all wrong. Somehow the rats (curse those Gutter Runners! Curse them!) popped the ball, picked it up, avoided our tacklers and scored 2-1 in our receiving drive. They also injured our offense specialists, leaving us with four turns to equalise without our best players. Again the Gutter Runners made this too difficult and Bendrig's team could move on to the final.
If only we'd hit a few of those Gutter Runners harder when we got them down... Down they went, but they always got back up again. Rats.
