“Ahhhh, the 'recovery I had to have' and the game went better than expected. A 1 all draw is actually a little unlucky. If I'd been able to hang onto the ball late in the 2nd half it would have been 2-1 but them's the breaks.

My team bounced back well considering. We had to foul a pesky Wardancer off the pitch after the first Elf TD and after that we came back pretty strong. As the Casualty pile started falling in my favour things were looking a lot better and by the game end if was just a matter of a single die roll that would determine the match.

Props go to the silly Bonehead on the LOS. He Boneheaded a few times in a row in the first half but his late Casualty in the game made up for it. Just one more solid hit like that and it's skill up time, so he's performing very well.

With no injuries this game (whew!) and a little more cash in the bank (still a stingy amount from the match referees though, damn gitz!) we can at least purchase our much needed Apothecary and next game look towards purchasing our replacement players. With 30k in the bank already, I only need another 20k to get a replacement linesman, but if I can get lucky and score 70, I'll be back to square one with a full squad. Fingers crossed!

Thanks to Skyjacker, he was really a good sport through the game. The late casualties to his already wounded team would have been pretty bad though and I wonder with 2 more deaths and 2 MNGs if his team will really be able to bounce back from here. 5 Players starting next game.... hmmmm, could be tough.”
