“A game where luck tipped back and forth. The Dark Elves utter inability to get a POW or knockdown of any kind (a 6 turn streak which included two kick-offs with 4 blocks, one rerolled), a couple of doubleskulls and a Blitz! against followed by 3 ones for the pickup hurt us in the first half.
Conversely, the Skaven loved the Pows, but got stunned by a couple of crowd thrown rocks and weren't always doing that well with the dodges.
The second half saw the lack of POWs continue, but the luck of the Pyschotics on dodging let them score in three turns anyway, even after the Tributes' Perfect Defense.
A Blitz! back for us helped, despite the touchback the Skaven received. A 2+ failed dodge (with reroll) loosened the ball and we scored on defence, taking the lead and, from then on we were in control.
A failed 3+ rerolled pickup and dodges that led to injury blighted the Skaven, and we finally got some POWs and EVEN broke some armour. We looked the more likely to score (despite some tough 1dblock blitzing from the Skaven), but we didn't manage the three 2+ rolls (despite our reroll) to make the pickup, pass and catch to make it 4.
Another failed, rerolled dodge from the Skaven ended the match at 3-2 to the Dark Elves.
We both got a nice +FF, and three skills for the elves. Sadly, Teddy Spitestripper suffered on aging once again, and now has a niggle yto got with his -ma. His days are numbered.”
