“Our tightest game yet, and one in which the luck swung back and forth. Early KOs for Karhain Ogrekicker (turn one of each half) and the rest of my LOS boys made sure that the Har Ganeth were always under-represented on the Bloodbowl field.
In the first half, my early leaping pressure on the ball carrier produced nothing. Two one dice blocks (against a no block or dodge cow) failed to achieve anything, despite a reroll. But my last ditch -2dblock came up doublepow. Go figure.
Teddy was at his best - leaping in and out of mulitple tacklezones and ball grabbing to his hearts content - but his 2+ pass for the score was intercepted by Turg Bonebreakker on a 9.
We were both pulling off magic, but neither team could make the easy rolls that would have let them score, and the first half finished 0-0.
My players came back in the second, and I set up with a fuller squad of 10 men. A deep kick and Blitz! against didn't help, neither did the dodging cow that POW'd my thrower.
As the dark elves dwindled to a mere 6 men, things were looking bleak, but after a couple of one dice blocks from Jemima, Darius gave the handoff to Teddy who dodged out of trouble, and passed to the waiting Kellogs. 1-0 to Har Ganeth.
The kick-off saw the inevitable collapse of the Psychotics front line, and the slow drive of the Chaos Dwarves. Only a failed hand-off (with reroll) to the clumsy cows stopped RoD from (deservedly) equalising, as Teddy leaped in, grabbed the ball and danced away once more. The game was ours.
Despite his -ma, I love my niggled Blitzer.
ANOTHER 6 on the FF roll gives us a hearty Fan Factor of 14. They love us, they really love us.
Nice coach, nice game - another team we owe a rematch.
Next cycle awaits.”
