“A hardfought match we hadn't expected.
Apple Tree started with jsut 10 men into the game. it wasn't me reduced them to 9, so we had a great advantage from the beginning, despite the fact, that they had two guys with block and a guard, while we had only one blockskill.
things even got worse for the apples, as we blitzed their first offense and had half of our team around the ball before they could do anything.
but then, they showed their best capabilities. Every block succeeded, every dodge was a success, they picked up the ball every tiem we managed to knock them down and even threw a complete pass. in turn one, the knocked one of our guys ko, in turn two they did the same, in turn three, they si'ed a third guy and apo failed. suddenly, we were reduced to 8 men. a double 1 for a gfi to blitz the ballcarrier ended our hopes to stop their offense, but before they scored, they fouled one of our guys and got caught. Nonetheless, they managed the 0-1 and we had just four turns and no rerolls left to manage the draw in half 1.
Now, big nuffle was on our side, we badly hurt one of our opponents and had beaten further three into the ko box, tieing the game in turn 8.
Second half started with our offense. The KO'ed players of our opponent all recoverered, from our guys, just one returned, so we wer stil down to 9, facing 7 hard fighting enemies.
it started out well, we did some successful blocks, picked up the ball and sprinted downfield, but our opponent continued to succeed with all his dodges and blitzes our ballcarrier. some pow/skulls - skulls from us brought them to a good field position. They managed to pick up the ball out of tackle zones two times and dodged out of them again, coming quite close to our endzone. finally, we managed a blitz on the ballcarrier, but had to cover nearly the whole field in just two turns, if we wanted to win.
Buck Spikehead piked up the ball, but the beastman, he threw the ball to, failed to catch the accurate pass. Ball on the middle line, just one turn left. Our opponents managed to place a chaoswarrior next to the ball, but then, they failed the first dodge of the whole game and a beastman dropped to the ground. we blitzed the CW, pushing him away from the ball, picked up the ball, made a successful handoff, sprinting to the Endzone using two gfi's and scored one of the luckiest TD's ever to be seen in the bloodbowl world.
unfortunatly, we got no skills out of the game and so we got a TR of 124 now, without any improvement towards our last game, where we had a TR of just 110. But nearly all of our players are in a good position to get skills in their next game. 9 of 12 players have spp, which should at least result in one skill after the next game with the mvp title.
A last statement: HollowOne played very good ... or at least, he played better than me, if he could've fielded a complete team, he would surely have won this one.”
