“Woo. The Dark Elves turned up looking to extend their recent one game winning streak, and in a match that was mostly about who could fall down least, they certainly did.

The Big Elves barely took root, spending the game rushing all over the pitch, stopping only to fumble their customary two TTM (sorry Sandaric).

In a tough first half the Ogres were pinned back in their own half by the desperate onslaught of my mighty elves. They needed to TTM to score, but couldn't pull it off, we needed a complex positional pushback, but failed our first 3+ of the turn (a rarity).

The second half was much the same. A slightly terrifying LOS kick scared us so much we failed to pick-up the ball 4 times in a row. Which was the same time that Basha chose to explode, marauding straight through our defensive line with two injuries in two turns.

In the melee that was the middle of the pitch, Melin Gelir somehow came out and made a brave foray down our left flank. With the score in sight, the Ogres and Goblins surrounded him, forcing a multitude of rolls.

The Har Ganeth were not impressed when he turned tail and ran - but soon cheered up when they realised he was only switching play. Erin Anklebiter then legged it down the right flank, out of reach of the Bumpa team.

A failed GFI sent a gobbo crashing to the ground, and Erin was able to walk in a turn 2/8 winner.

There was just time for Bumpa to attempt the TTM, but, thankfully, the kick was deep enough to make this impossible.

Two in a row makes this the best run for the Dark Elves, but it's still not enough to impress the fans. Tight game against a nice guy, enjoyed it very much.”
