“This would seem as the typical dwarven 2-1 victory, but nothing could be farther from the truth...
Sure enough the dwarves let the orcs take the first drive, and it started well enough for the orcs. On the first turn they knocked out one dwarf and badly hurt one other, forcing the dwarves to play with nine players for the rest of the match (when the KO'd dwarf finally returned another had been hurt, and due to earlier injuries there were no reserves).
Despite this the remaining dwarves not only stopped the orcs, they also got the ball and showed their true strengths: dodging and passing! and finally scored on turn 7. This proved to be a bit early however as the orcs now got out a goblin from the reserves and promptly scored in turn!
In the second half the orcs played an excellent defense, knocked the ball loose and very nearly scored several times before the dwarves finally got the ball under control. By now nearly the whole dwarven team was pushed far back on their own half of the field, with a few dwarves still remaining on the LOS, and with time running out they started a mad dash across the whole length of the field trying to score.
When the runners were a bit to slow (or lazy) to actually run the whole length themselves it was finally up to Druggarth Shieldcleaver to save the day, he had dodged from his place on the LOS just in time to be able to catch the final pass and run to the goalline.
The orcs then once again tried their infamous goblin one-turner, but this time the dwarves were prepared.
