When God hates you, there's not much you can do.

The Har Ganeth opened the game in style, managing to snake-eyes three GFI in the first four turns, whilst at the same time fumbling three 3+ TTM.

Despite the fact that we finished the half with four men - a prone small elf, a prone Big elf, a Take Root Big Elf and a solitary standing small elf - we still stopped the relentless POW-happy drive of the Globe Trotters, and the half ended 0-0.

The second half enabled us to continue our amazing run of excellent luck, starting with a Perfect Defense against, followed by a rerolled failed pick-up (the first roll of the half).

Next turn we endeavoured to make a block (hurrah, pushback) and then pass a 4+ pickup, before failing a 3+ handoff (with reroll).

The Chaos made a nice blitz, pushing our elf into the ball, which in turn bounced into the crowd, who helpfully hurled the ball across the pitch, smack into the middle of a mass of beastmen.

Sigh.

The Globe Trotters continued what would be an unbroken run of eight 3+ pick-ups (I made 3/11) as I made a 3+ TTM (whoo) then fumbled another four. By turn five I'd failed (snake-eyes'd) another 2 GFI.

Try as I might, nothing would work. If I got a POW from the 2dblock, I couldn't get the ball. If a (more usually) took them down with a 1d skull/pow, they'd just pick it straight back up.

With one Big Elf taken root in turn one, and the other unable to get a block in because I failed one of my early rolls in every turn, it was difficult to make any headway.

A last ditch 3+ TTM worked - hurrah, that's 2/9 - but the bounce unfortunately took me away from the beastman posied on the line (3/8 chance, natch), and let the Chaos score a simple 2/8 td, for the 1-0 win.

The Dark Elves are gutted, especially as the fans punished them again with a -1FF.

To be fair, Ironcrow forced us to make a lot of rolls, especially as the game wore on. And, we made a lot of dodges, probably more than we should. But we weren't outplayed, and we feel hard done by.
