“The Iron Guards and Dertre's Elves actually played two matches against each other due to technical difficulties after the first match (version mismatch...).
Trollslayer Raurinn "Skullpulper" did as usual not take part in either match due to his niggles, or the match before, and he's very close to being fired at the moment...
The first "friendly" game ended in 2-2 after a heroic effort by nine dwarves against eleven elves (the elves were actually in the lead with 2-0).
In the second game the dwarves made a tactical error by taking the first drive, they always seem to do better when defending first. The dwarves then actually proceeded to score rather quickly and easily, but of course the elves weren't about to be outplayed and scored in turn, making the standing 1-1 by halftime.
The dwarves didn't find any counter to the elves play in the second half either and were soon down 2-1. The dwarves then valiantly tried to score but were hampered (again) by a lack of players, and after troll-slayer Nunima Orc-eater got carried of the field they had problems in taking out the elves too...
“
At last, The Dertre's Eleves hold their fourth victory in the open league. An astonishing achievement against such highed ranked team. They were nice and tough game and each team had a good chance to win both matches.
Althought, the Iron Guards starting with 10 players, in each game a real disadvantage, disallowing them to use strenght, heroically contested the final victory.
The first game was a nice draw with a nasty defensive placement foul by Lapass seboli (i fined him) that allowed the Iron Guards to come back just before half time. The second half was very opened and the Iron fists finally managed to score back.
The second game looks similar, Dertre's Eleves reserves quality still making the difference. The dwarves were standing firm, but the repeated assaults of Laugée Frewinder finished to harass Gark (real strong guy but still a little sweet).
But the game really turned over when Dom Craftywood injured one then a few turns later carried of the field Nunima Orc-eater, else Dertre's Eleves fourth victory....
Long live to our captain !!
Thanks Indur
hope to play your full team at once”
