sigh.

Ah well; at least I had enough cash for a new beast to replace the retired (niggled) one and another beast got a skill.

The game started rough; he had one handicap and it turned out to be 'it wasn't me' removing one of the few skilled players I had. 10 vs 11 from the start. Even so in the end of the first half I could put so much pressure on the ball-carrier that he attempted an hand-off which promptly failed.

The unskilled CW caught the ball and a turn later I was able to hand it off to a beast whom rushed to the endzone. 1-0 against the odds.
The 2nd half I received and somehow i could get the ball away. All I had to do was dodge on 3+, blitz a beast aside and gfi twice.

Incredible as it sounds to me; it worked...

All there remained was some stubborn defense while the clock ticked away the last moments of the match.

2-0 is a wee bit much but then again; so are 3 serious injuries.
