Unfortunately for him, it just happened to be the wrong part of the crowd, and he landed on a couple of enthusiastic daemons. You really don't want to upset a daemon.

The game was fairly close. In the first drive, the chaos made a very unfortunate fumble, and an incredible bounce left it in range for the elves. This, combined with a very unlucky block (2x both down, followed by a double skull on the RR - first move of the turn) gave the elves all the chances they needed to sneak bast the chaos line to get to the ball carrier.
