Argh! What a disaster!

It is winter I suppose, so we should have expected the yeast to be slow to activate, and their certainly was very little fermentation going on today. Even so, we still smacked a few of those elves around, but the grog was so weak they were able to come back! We shall have to mix up a stronger batch next time.

Deathwish Votes:

#2 Votes: Scarlet Noble
This elf was the one that forced the dodge that changed this game completely. His name has thusly been added in the Book of Grudges, and if the deathwish doesn't get him, we will!

#1 Vote: Blind Seer
A pox on all throwers! They must be exterminated from the face of the world, for the good of the game. The fans don't want to see pretty passing plays, they want BLOOD.

And BEER! Never forget the BEER!

What! They stole our handicaps! Having gambled and survived on handicaps for the last six rounds, the Wraithlords received quite a shock turning up to the match only to find the other team had got to the handicaps first! So much so, they fell over themselves and gave away two ko's before the first turn's whistle had even blown!

Still, they had a good game, ran circles around the dwarves for the better part of the first 12 turns. A massive gamble with an experimental defence early on pretty much sealed the game for them as they scored against the flow to go 1-0 up at the half. The dwarves however, looked like they'd barely broken into their warmup routine. Except for one senile old longbeard who tripped over his beard on the way to a blitz and fell, to his surprise, the right way up.

Am sure the beards will come back to exact some sort of grudge upon us one day!

Deathwish Votes:

#2 Votes: Mango Lager
Sterling effort second half, flailed his way, with the ball tucked somehow into his belt around his wide girth, through two rounds of blitzing by the Wraithlords for their try.

#1 Vote: Shockin' Draught
That senile old longbeard with the habit of tripping the right way up.
