#1 Crusher – Smashed Knee (NI)
#5 uno – Dead (RIP)
#12 gutter ballet – Dead (RIP)
What a fantastic game!
Creepy Slimers got the ball at the start and by the end of turn one they were able to put out of the game the valiant Ser Jason Mallister (forced to miss even Westros' next game), putting their best player Absolute truth in scoring position. And he scored next turn without waiting for anything.
I thought that the game would be an easy descent toward victory from then on, with the Westros' missing one player and so important for the economy of the match. I was wrong.
My valiant opponent with his hero Ser Courtenay Penrose leading his pack of fierce thralls push back my defense and nowithstanding the heroic deeds of my players he reached my endzone at the end of the first half, with Ser Penrose that bite to death my poor lineman uno (that still, for his brave behavior on the field, putting his neck before the fangs of his opponent, trying to sacrifice his life for the good of the Slimers, got the MVP award at the end of the match) and avoiding my tackle zones run into my endzone.
Second half was terrible too: my ratogre Crusher was crushed indeed, niggled and put out for good at the start. Penrose and comrades put up a destructive drive, and i suffered another ko and a SI in the first turns of the half. All seemed lost. My hopes for victory started becoming a serious loss, and a bloody one. But then, with a desperate block in disadvantage, Absolute Truth stole the ball from Penrose and the rookie sepultura was able to get the fumbled ball. In a couple of turns, suffering the death of another runner, sepultura was able to score again.
Two turns left to play and my team, severaly scarred, was up of one TD. But I was 7 aganst 10 and my opponent was a tough one. I got an almost perfect kick, but a thrall got the ball and was able to throw it to Penrose that resisted a desperate attempt from Absolute truth and again, at the end of the game, passed the line and scored the draw.
It was a superb draw. This is a superb league.
Two thumbs up for NFL!!!

Who says an NFL game can't be brutal?

After my #2 Vamp gets a Miss Next before he has a chance to move, the Champions of Westros start taking over the game. The Creepy Slimers have a very dangerous lineup with 4 Gutter Runners and a Rat Ogre, but the RO just couldn't stay on the field.

Fortunately, we were able to cage up and keep it close. Ser Courtenay Penrose had the play of the game on a score to end the first half. He kills Uno on a both down (apoth fails) and then has to dodge out over the poor rodent's corpse and through a tackle zone without a reroll.

The Creepy Slimer's play of the game had to be a 2 die block against hit that knocked down Ser Courtenay Penrose and gave them their tying touchdown at the start of the second half. A truly well played game, and great fun all around!
