What a great match. Virus, It Wasn't Me and Morley's left me with 7-9 players most of the match (only had 10 for one single drive).

Most of the match was played in a blizzard, and my opponent had some bad luck in the first half with two snake-eyes when handing the ball within my reach to allow me to take a 3-1 lead with one turn left to go.

As fate would have it, I set up to defend my players, and we rolled Injury Time! However, my opponent was unable to score with some average rolls yet again.

Second half was topsy turvy. My 2 TD lead was soon reduced to 1. With the scores at 3-2 I dropped the ball deep in his half and was certain I would concede a TD. However, his Treeeman tried to block mine and a Skull and Skull/Pow later, I was fortunate to get a chance to recover the ball and take a 4-2 lead.

With only 7 on defence, my opponent was able to cage deep in my half again with his Str 4 Wardancer and I was unable to get a decent chance to stop him.

Recieving at 4-3, my opponent gets Perfect Defence against my 9 players and I fail a 3+ pass (rerrolled)! My opponent scooped up the ball and prepared to score a tying TD.

However, luck was with me when I managed to make a 3+ gfi and then a one dice pow on his bal carrier (had to reroll it) and then he rolled crud on his attempts to steal it back (a double skulls in there somewhere too) and I escaped with a narrow victory.

Whilst my opponent had some frustrating moments in the game, there were no permanent injuries and he got a sweet 90K for the ride. I got the 20K I was after to buy a new Catcher so I am happy too heh.”
