“This match was a combination of ST5 going up against OFAB...
The MB on the Ogres did nearly nothing all match, as every time it was applied it was either unnecessary (KO still a KO, etc) or pointless (armor roll 1,2 +1). But the vampires had five bloodsuckers out on the pitch with only 2 RR to their name: when the ogres weren't knocking the vamps and thralls around, the vamps themselves kept sending their thralls off the pitch, to the point where late in the game they were left with 4 vamps and a single thrall left trying to survive. The 5th vamp was sent off with a niggle: a point the vamps didnt take too kindly to since the turn following they squished a goblin dead in retaliation!
Still, the match wasn't as unbalanced as all that. The first half went 1-1 with a spectacular turn 8 play by the vamps to tie it, and really only until the last four turns did it look like the Ogres may well take the game home. Some unlucky, and VERY poorly timed, OFAB rolls kept the vamps from being able to form their final offensive and with a 1 point lead the goblins bum-rushed the ball and brought in the 3rd point.
A fun game, but with only 1 RR these Ogres are hoping to bring in some money soon so they can have a better hope of ball-handling in the future. And of course the Ogres would love some company on the field, they are already beginning to complain about the goblins starting to look like they own the team. But we shall see in the future which purchase comes first. This game's purse needed to replace the missing goblin and purchase an Apo in case the blockless Ogres should ever fall victim to injury. ”
