“An amusing subplot to this highly entertaining game was my team's (and my fans') excessive victimisation of his claw linerat. Despite my ability to seemingly injure the rest of his team at will, and this particular rat's love of rolling skulls, we couldn't manage to eliminate him.”
“He receives and among his first blocks he kills a line-rat. Zero spp's so I do not waste the apothecary. My first turn -after some safe moves- the AG5 gutter tries to dodge away (2+ with dodge) and snake-eyes end the turn.
He then MNG's my ST4 line-rat. No niggle or stat-loss so once again i save apothecary. he scores a turn later.
My drive was fast and furious as ratty drives tend to be unless snake-eyes or some-such happen. Rookie GR scores. Then he fumbled the ball somewhere and as quick as their scrawny legs could carry the gutters they rushed to the loose ball/blitz with dauntless and bring it to safety. 2-1 with the rats receiving. Go rats!
Even with the constant stream of injuries/KO's Clan Moulder could score the decisive 3-1. And would have been happy at a damage controlling freewheel to the end of the 2nd half.
But the ball is fumbled again. Not wise with rats around. Quickly they flood the area. 5-2.
In all honesty; with a mere handful of rats I did not even pretend to defend against his last drive. And I am sure I could not have stopped his 11 elves with my remaining players anyway.
All things considered I have been the luckier coach, except for that early death and I know it. I had a good game vs a nice opponent and would like to grant him a rematch any time.
