“The old cliche "Game of two halfs" couldn't be more appropriate here.
The game started brightly for the Stalkers who put up a stubborn defence in the first half against the opening orc drive, getting a couple of orc players off the pitch early. However they were never able to get at the Gork and Mork Servants thrower, who eventually found a gap in the necro line to pass to an open blitzer and put the Orcs 1-0 up.
With time running out in the first half, a fast play managed to give Sharpedge the chance to run in an equalizing touchdown, making the scores 1-1 at half time with the Stalkers still to receive the ball.
However the Stalkers had not figured with the half-time snacks being eaten by the crowd! The wafting scent of meat proved a massive distraction to the team wolf and ghouls who completey went of the boil in the second half! Coupled with an early orc offensive the ball never left the necromantic half and eventually fell into orc hands for a winning orc touchdown.
I dislike moaning about luck but the second half was quite nasty (fair number of doubles 1s along with two orc blitzes). However luck is only important if the coach forces you into making important dice rolls and my opponent played well in putting pressure on the ball right from the start of the second half.
Good luck in the rest of the tournament!”
