Two of the SWL's premier teams fought it out in what would have been a meaningless match as the title was already decided, owuld have been excpet for the engrossing rivalry these two teams have developed over the years.

The bearded dwarves once again took on the might of the brewers team and as always a close match followed.

The opening drive for the adpets started badly as united got the jump and the duke picked up the ball and headed for the endzone. Only the fleet Mitra Concentrations efforts prevented an early deficit, and Abhya followed up with an amazing catch. He prompty followed his blockers down the field for and despite some late heroics from mike the spike socred on the half time buzzer.

The scond half saw the Carlton boys fired up and they streamed down the adepts left flank, the beards hit back but it wasn't enough to stop the multitaltented duke, who aded to his already impressive highlight reel with an easy runaway score.

The Adpets second drive started proly and never recovred with the duke busting the ball loose. Luckily for Buddahs faithful 'The Dr' couldn't retrieve the pill and Abhya seeing an opportunity scooped it up and tossed it to the rampaging Tetsugy Mindful. Mindful was soon in full flight and the game was sealed.

GG Twahn, better luck next time, c ya in the prem next season!

Twahnloes:

3pts: Duke Snakefield - Who else? He was the team, despite all his falls, he led as best he could, the troops just never rallied.
2pts: Paul 'Cleave' Pacman - Put on the hurt, and withstood alot of punishment a real stand up guy
1pt: Mike the spike - good dodgin, and a solid performance all round

Good write up FLo. :)

They're putting on the pressure for my Twahnlow votes, so here goes...

TWAHNLOW VOTES

# 15 Tetsugyu Mindful
Very nice winning touchdown from the big guy. Really turned the match around at a point where it was looking like it could go either way despite Zen's general dominance throughout.

#5 Roshi Effort
Great game from the young Blocker. I think Blockers generally go without getting a lot of credit for all their hard work, but the Zen line was formidable this game, and their hard hitting antics really made a difference. This guy in particular, despite his lack of skills, was a real thorn in our side.

#7 Abhaya
I really like this guy, and I'm sure his master does too. He really put a bit of uncertainty in my attacks and works well as both ball carrier and defensive screen. It was close between Abhaya and the Bull, but this guy deserves some credit for his freaky skill rolls if nothing else! ;)
