“52,000 fans came out of their holes and homes (where do those mysterious Dark Elves appear from?) to see a game that failed to follow the usual script. The Lizardmen score 2 touchdowns and didn't hurt the Dark Elves more than a few sore heads (KO's a plenty actually). The DE failed to do anything meaningful with the ball (no completions and a total rush of 6) and so failed to score, but did inflict 2 casualties.
Caewen (Witch Elf) made a splendid debut, justifying the big money spent by the club. Her dodge and frenzy skills were a noticeable addition to the Shadowbolt's game.”
“Shadowbolt won the toss and elected to receive in the first half and they came out blocking like maniacal Minotaurs in a crystal shop owned by a chinaman. The Witch Elf sliced Viper Snakecharm (Skink) apart in her first blitz, ran deep and it looked like a reasonable start from the Dark Elves. Slitheryn initially suffered from a lack of the Block skill but in comparison Shadowbolt lost all ability to handle the ball. The skinks capitalized on a missed pass and ran in a TD before the whistle. Second half, the Lizards received and made a strong drive to the wing. Dark Elf defence was tight and the blocking remained strong. Cobra Shadowrun (Skink) survived death by the Lizard Shaman Apothacary, much to the chargrin of the fans who wanted to see the new blood effects in action. The skinks were the Slitheryn heroes today and managed to run in a second TD again before the whistle. Are Saurus really worth it?”
