Persistence paid off.

A disastrous first match almost made me retire the team immediately despite a win and a double on a gutter afterwards.

But I could replace the dead Stormvermin and decided to grit my teeth and take a loss with the team. Hopefully less disastrous. Well; It still was poor; another dead, only a lino this time though.

Yet I could hire a spare body plus the two returned from a mng so i figured; what the hell; 11 rats, no apo. Just as if it was their first game. But also their last chance.

It turned out good. Not only good winnings but the only perm injury suffered (a niggle) was on the hired lino!

My opponent fouled constantly, even over scoring but my pleas to the referee were to no avail. His mother (the ref) allowed him to argue the call a whopping 3 (!) times successfully.

Ah well. My gripe is only the totally unnecessary double-skull in my 7th turn of 2nd half. A push would have sufficed to get the skink away from the ball and my gutter would have picked it up on 2+ for a safe 4-0.

Ah well; if that's all to complain about you had a good game.
