The debut of the GameIlluminati could hardly have been more striking. The Hope team received first, and things were going well for the wood elves as they exploited a hole in the middle to score rather easily on turn 2. With the first block of the GIs' existence, however, Jens Christensen killed a wood elf (neither side started with apothecaries), and after the team streamed through the centre on their turn 2, lone blitzer George Broussard killed another as he blitzed into the end zone on turn 3.

The Hope's ballcarrier failed a dodge on their next turn, allowing Charles to pick up and pass to George B, who again waltzed in unchallenged for a soft TD on turn 5. With Sid Meier badly hurting an elf in the second drive and thrower Scott Miller doing the same on turn 8, the Hope seemed to have been poorly named at half time, 2-1 down and seven on the pitch. This was not helped when Charles skipped away to score again after a copybook drive down the sideline by the GameIlluminati on turn 2 of the second half.

To their credit, the Hope did manage to pull the score back to 3-2 by capitalising on some unstructured defence, avoiding an interception attempt by Raph Koster to score on turn 7. The clock wound down on an outstanding first performance by the dark elves, while the Hope could only limp away with corpses in tow. Kudos to coach EcLiPsE for keeping his temper at some shocking luck on casualty rolls.

#4 Celahir Ciryatan – Dead (RIP)
#7 Elessar of Dorthonion – Dead (RIP)
What an unfortunate start for a promissing team of rookie Forestwarriors.
The Gameiluminati started their first offense of the game with a couple of furious blocks and silenced the cheering fans of their opponents with a violent fatality. Teir hearts filled with sorrow for their brave teammember the Hoper's tryed to reorganize their defense in time. A futile quest, for the Gameilluminati did their moves swift and coldblooded.
the 1-1 was scored 2 turns afterwards, despite the godlike movement and blocks of the Gameilluminati (95% luck after 5 turns). Hope started to shine in the Woodies hearts, but the Dark Elves still had to show these inncocent Woddpeople the full wrath of evil. Like a horde of furious demons they ripped and slashed their way through enemy lines leaving one more fatality and 2 more badly hurt Woodies on their trail of death. Concluding the first half the Gameilluminati scored a comfortable 2-1.
The second half of the match was dominated by the Dark Elf team. facing an 11-7 superiority the Woodies had little hope left to bring a twist into the match.
Nevertheless lineman Gwindor managed to score the 2-3 touchdown after a furious breakthrough and a very accurate pass of Fingolfin, despite Gwindor was not able to catch the ball in the endzone but had to pick it up in the following turn.
All their struggling and a succesfull block onto the opponents ballcarrier did not help the Hoper's, they were not able to score another touchdown.
The game surely left its traces on the rooster of the "Momentary Eclipse of Hope" and some new traces of grey have been spotted in Coach Eclipse's hair.
