“World's Edge - Karak Kadrin div. Round 5

The Avengers enter as a replacement team facing another replacement - the Hazards - and are already boiling with fury and anger.

In the 1st half the Avengers managed to knock the ball loose after having clogged up the Hazards in their own half of the field for most of the half but some unfavorable scatters meant that the elves could not risk going for the ball. The Hazards get the ball and finally manage to make a run down the field thought the Avengers quickle catch up with them and eventually get hold of the ball. (unfortunately I'd forgotten how few turns I had left and had to manage some desperate chainpushing to get in scoring position and in the end didn't manage to score).

While in the locker room before the 2nd half the coach managed to make tempers settle as he promised to kick everyones sorry butts by himself if they didn't go out on that pitch again as a TEAM. The peptalk seemed to work as the Avengers got ahead but only after suffering tripple injuries (to the disappoinment of most of the Avengers the apothed saved a team member) and multiple KOs that did not return as they were busy fighting each other.

With three turns left and 6 Avengers on the field there was little they could do to stop the Nurgles who equalized in the very last turn.

This is surely the seed of grudges to last.”
