“The Terrors started in defence and threatened to steal the ball at one stage, but only managed to delay the Darkness from scoring about halfway into the opening period.
The Terrors responded with a cage play that they hurried upfield. The 9 Darkness players on the pitch could not stop the Terrors from equalising.
The second half started with the Terrors in offence and they ground their way upfield into a commanding position. Then late in the period when they could have scored, they delayed and this cost them the victory as an error by a Chaos Dwarf (failed GFI with reroll) allowed the Darkness to push the Terrors ball carrier out of bounds.
The Darkness recovered the ball and threatened to score, running it past the line of scrimmage, but a failed dodge by a supporting Darkness player allowed the Terrors to push the Dark Elf ball carrier out of bounds.
The crowd threw the ball towards a Terror Bull Centaur and the Darkness endzone, but he failed to pick up the ball and the game was a draw.

Aarrrgh. So close. I was trying to be too clever, by delaying a turn. If I had made the GFI, I would have had a 2 dice block on his player that would have sent him OOB and made my own player safe from OOB with a follow up, and be in a commanding position to score in the next turn.
I was lucky to secure the draw when my opponent failed his dodge, but I couldn't roll the 4+ to pick up the ball and win.
Serves me right LOL. I should have backed myself to play 3 turns of defence against 8-9 players.
Anyways, good fun game as always against a friendly fun coach. ”
