“This was a pretty funny game. It seems that Nuffle is watching over these flings (give it a couple of games, and he'll be bored enough to start killing them off 4 or 5 at a time :P).
With the tasty addition of some cinnamon to their latest creation, the Bakers made off with most of the elven re-rolls this game, and it certainly paid off. With an uncanny ability to roll ones, the dark elves had a hard time getting the ball up into our half of the field, and we came awfully close to converting their errors into a touchdown late in the first half. It was not to be so. we did, however, manage to stop them scoring. They came close, but their last desparate attempt to throw the ball to a waiting elf was mis-thrown leaving the scores nil all at half time.
Some amazing 1-d blocks allowed the Baking boys to push forwards, with Aume Litts sprinting to the touchdown line as if his life depended on it (come to think of it ... his life probably did depend on it), making the score 1-0 for the Bakers after turn 4. Many cheers were to be had, for the flings were winning against elves of all races!
With no re-rolls, the dark-elves had trouble getting the ball downfield, and when they left the ball carrier unprotected, our Bakery Boys jumped right into the thick of things, taking the ball carrier down, and surrounding the ball as best they could. Time was running out for the elves, and seeing that only one of them was in range to score, the little guys did what the do best, and jumped all over him, leaving the dark elves with control of the ball, but no one to pass it to.”
