“There was an awful lot of blood on the pitch this game. Only 6 casualties ... but that doesn't count the self-inflicted ones ;-)

The Bakery Boys were kicking again this match, to a team that really wanted a quick touchdown. One of the skinks rushed though with the ball, but was quickly surrounded by ravenous halflings, who made certain that no lizard was going to get too close to their precious ball. It took some time, but the 'flings worked their way forwards, rcoring in turn five. This left a bit of an opportunity for Aztec Gold II to even the score, but not enough, leaving the score 1-0 at half-time.

The second half saw the Bakery Boys receive, and things were looking good when they surprised their opposition with a quick snap. A fumbled pass ruined their chances at a touchdown, instead turning the game into more of a brawl than anything else. Needless to say, it was the Saurus that came out on top there, and a quick thinking skink sunck away with the ball bringing the scores to 1-1.

With only 2 turns in which to score, there was really no hope for the 'flings, whose little legs can only move so far in one day. Twas a nice close game, and I'll certainly think twice before attempting to pass the ball with this team next time ;-)”
