“Two key snakeye turnovers led to a narrow tie for Slave of the Three, where a win might have just eeked out otherwise. It didn’t help much that for most of the game the wood elves’ armour was once again largely superior to that of their dark cousins. (though this turned around at the very end)
Both clutch turnovers were the work of Slave’s only remaining blitzer, Bill Blindeside, who inexplicably got the team’s MVP award after the match for his ‘outstanding performance’ (though he was rarely standing at the end of his various performances!) Whether this was the work of the opposing team paying off the judges is not known, but the experience paid off in the end for Bill, whose confidence was re-asserted by the award, and promised to start hitting the Jim more often (the Slave of the Three’s workout facility utilizes a captured slave named ‘Jim’ for a punching bag). Other team members have noticed his strength increasing as a result of his tireless workouts (much to Jim’s consternation!)
The Forrest Freaks played a tight game, and made a few turnovers themselves, but none really as critical as those made by Bill Blindside’s constant tripping up. The worst being a first action double skull, although that only evened out what would otherwise have been a third clutch turnover by Slave right after a kickoff Blitz left their thrower exposed in the backfield to Blitzing wood elves…
Poor winnings are sure to make Round 5 a tough one for Slave of the Three, as due to losses and chronic low winnings nearly every match, they are now rather weaker and less skilled than most other teams they would face…but at least the fan base is growing!”
