Recieving the kickoff the Adepts were under the gun immediately with Carlton setting up a perfect defense. The ball reached halfway and the duke struck! launching himself at Abhya he jarred the ball loose, and it rolled into a scrum of 8 players. Abhya recoverd from the blow and handed the ball off to Last year Twahnlow winner Mitra Concentration, who rumbled down the field at furious speed. Carltons defence managed to ctech the Bull Centaur but couldn't bring him down, and the Adepts led 1-0.
Carlton had the ball for the remaining 4 turns, but couldn't convert, loosing their superstar Duke Snakefield to a nasty fall on the pitch. The old groundskeeper was mobbed by the Dukes myriad of female fans after the game, and not in the good way.
The second half saw the Adepts start strong, blitzing the Carlton defense, and putting pressure in the backfield. After a desperate tussle deep in theri half, Maitr Concentration again took control scooping up the ball and rolling in for a 2-0 lead to the Buddahs boys.
Carlton then finally got it together, Davros 'the Dr.' blowing open a hole in the right side of the adepts defense with a massive block on two hapless hobgoblins. The team old, blind, decrepit and now jobless wizards for the Adepts then mistook a prone stunned hobgoblin for the mighty Davos and proceeded to burn him with a fearsome lightning bolt.
Carlton lino Jake Flutterythen strolled in to bring the score back to 2-1.
Twahnloes:
3pts: Davros 'the Dr.' Hugz- This nifty blitzer was always on the pitch causing havok and putting hobgoblins on their ass.
2pts: Jake Fluttery - Put the United boys on the scoreboard in this game, and assisted in many a block during the course of the match.
1pt: 'Sleepy' Steve - Always willing to take the big hits, Sleepy also manages to dish some out.
Great Game as always Twahn, was close and the dice played a big part.
