“I've got to say - this was one of the Bakery Boys funniest matches yet! The first half, they stayed on the field with some amazing luck, and then in the second half, when he found himself alone on the pitch, Chokkee Bitts managed to blitz the ball carrier, preventing the touchdown that would have made it a draw!

The Bakery Boys won the toss again this match, and it seems that someone is spreading rumours that they may have been using some underhanded tactics to ensure that they win (obviously, this is denied by team captain Misty Cookes. Choosing to kick, they did one of those really short kicks that halflings are well known for. Combined with a perfect defence, they were able to put one of their sneakiest halflings up close, and side-step him around to put a tackle zone on the ball. This was well worth it, as the Skaven gutter runner who tried to pick it up fumbled, putting it right in his hands! Too bad he was standing right up against the sidelines in two Skaven tackle zones. With a bit of luck, and a lot of halflings staying on their feet, the ball was handed off to Aume Litts, who moved up in a very loose cage towards the end zone. It was a long run to get there, but eventually, they made it, for a turn 5 (i think) touchdown. On her way to score, Aume Litts laid a nice hit on the Adept's star gutter runner, leaving him out for the rest of the match - not even the apothecary was enough to get him back in shape.

They went on to hold the skaven off from a first half touchdown, at the cost of two injured halflings, and three in the knocked out box.

Going into the second half, they barely had eleven players, and it was fortunate that they didn't have to face a full team of rats this half. The skaven kicked deep, which always proves a challenge for halflings. With such short legs, it takes them a long time to get to the other end of the field. They managed to make it 3/4 of the way to the other end, when a fumbled pass left them in a poor position. The skaven were then able to retrieve the ball, but with only a short amount of time left to score in, the Bakery Boys decided to put in every ounce of effort they could.

As the half came close to an end, the rats moved up, and it looked like a sure fire TD. Especially as there was only one little 'fling left on the field to stop them. He had to dodge through two tackle zones to get there, but he made it, and with a 2d against block, Chokkee Bitts took down the ball carrier, and positioned himself so that he could keep a tackle zone on the only rat left in range. When a blitz failed to knock him down, Chokkee Bitts saw his chance, and took that sneaky rat's feet out from under him when he tried to dodge away for the score. A very well deserved MVP for Chokkee Bitts.

Another halfling made the ultimate sacrifice this match, and the staff at the Bakery regret to announce that Missy Takes will no longer be able to play blood bowl with the Boys.
