“First Blood went to LosPupitas...but all the rest was to the Harolds. At first things looked bad for the humans, with a turn 1 casualty against them, and a mysterious Cloud Of Nuffle descending upon them shortly thereafter denying them use of a Re-Roll during a Blitz action...("Block Not Started"). The Harold's coach was concerned that this bug might inhibit his game play, but it never resurfaced and Nuffle seemed to hear his please for good fortune.
Harold of Plague turned out to be the big killer this match, with three casualties (two RIP) to his credit...and all without Mighty Blow!
The pro elf apothecary wasn't able to come through for the team's Blitzer, who beld to death on the pitch before the doctor could get to him. This marked a turnaround in the dice, which thereafter favored the Haorlds completely - the poor elves suffered three first action turnovers in a row immediately after this. Not much one can do when this happens, although like a true Blood Bowler, Zanzon never gave up trying!
The second half was fairly uneventful, with the elves so badly outnumbered that the Harolds just moved a slow cage down the pitch., KOing a total of 5 of the elves. The play of the game was Harold Brimstone taking two elves off the pitch in a single punch - one being knocked unconcious, the other pushed into the crowd by his falling teammate.
The luck was a bit one sided as the match developed...but then again after the sound whupping the dice lent me in my last match (a tourney semifinal!) I feel I was deserved some good fortune.
Hopefully we can meet again with more even dice Zanzon!”
