“It was a joyous occasion when the Woodsy sing-song joyous people met the Purple Fur team in a friendly game of ball, in good weather and on a perfect pitch.
The happy elves danced gracefully upon the playing field, and soon got their first goal of the match. All cheered and were happy - though the grimaces of the tortured undead faces of the opponents could have been mistaken for scowls rather than smiles.
Not quite as agile as the elves, the Purple Fur advanced on the team instumbling confusion. There were some collisions, and a few elves were hurt - but its ok and we forgive them, because we know did meant well.
By the end of the first half half the happy elves were singing songs of joy and merryment from the reserves box, and smiling despite bruises and wounds. One shivers to think the damage the Purple Fur team could have done - if they were less than savoury and nice types.
The match ended with three goals to one in favour of the Woodsy sing-song joyous people - and the teams met on the midfield in embraces and mutual congratulations on a fine match.
Rumours that the Purple Furs then tried to eat the flesh of the Woodsies are wildly exaggerated.
