“There isn’t much to say about this match. The Harolds should know better than to challenge wood elves…we always get spanked. Somehow even with Mighty Blow we can’t penetrate AV 7 (when we do get POW’s that is ;), yet out AV8 is constantly mashed apart. Add some horrific baubling of the ball, and you’ve got a real winning combo (for the opposition!)
We tried, but morale ran low early. Hard to cage up when you can barely pick up the ball. Almost scored sort of. Once. Not really actually. Well, what can you do, but pick up the parts and play again. Once again the fans showed that they were more effective at taking out elves than the entire Harolds team, although Harold of Plague did manage to take out a single catcher relatively early.
We did manage to pull off our signature ‘Too Little, Too Late” play, making an impressive number of 2+, 3+, and 4+ rolls in a row to get the ball safely caged for a turn 16 TD and make the loss a more respectable 1-2. Of course, we do manage to blow a simple handoff and end up losing 0-2. The rookie Harold the Conqueror got MVP for reasons that remain unclear. Well, he did manage to…um…right.
The Harolds get a shrill talking to after the match about the importance of: 1) knocking down and taking opponents off the pitch when you do and/or 2) actually managing to pick up and hold the ball. Doing neither of these effectively leads to…well…see above :)
GG Origami, though with those dice I never stood a chance! :D ”
