“A match dominated by two key elements:
* holding on to the ball if at all possible
* preventing Istavanias Es-Ronas from Rampaging

During the first half both sides had their moments and they both tried to hard to make magic happen - especially the Norse had a moment late in the half to score, in turn 7 fooled by their own pride and in turn 8 the odds were stacked against the poor lineman trying to dodge 3 dwarves, pick up the ball and throw a long bomb. He never picked up.
In the second half the dwarves managed to get the ball half way through and then kept pummeling the Norse, effectively preventing them from chasing Alfginnar Grobismacker, leading scorer on the Konkvaldahaz roster. Alfginnar finally ran the ball into the Daligoth endzone in turn 8.

The latter - despite great trepedation -went exceptionally well largely due to the fact that the beast had a mind of its own and would not accept the coach's lash. To top it off the doughty dwarves managed to kick the poor beast when it was down, sending it to a messy smelly grave.”
