“For a change, the Bakery Boys decided to receive first in this match. They knew the Chaos Dwarves were going to be tough, and wanted their best players on the pitch for a chance to get an early touchdown. After a bad kick, the halflings moved forwards cautiously, realising that they didn't have much of a chance of breaking through the Chaos Dwarf defence at this stage. They did manage to sneak a couple of halflings downfield, and after a fumbled pass (by the 'flings), and some unlucky blocking (by the chaos dwarves), they scored a TD in turn 5.
With four turns to score in, things were looking touch for the Chaos Dwarves. That is until a bad kick let them give the ball to their new Bull Centaur. He got a little bit ahead of himself though, and found himself surrounded by the little bakers! They secured the ball, but with a bit of lucky blocking, and a very lucky bounce, the Chaos Dwarves managed to get the ball back just in time, scoring with a 3+ pick up, 4+ hand-off, and 3 GFIs for the bull centaur!
The second half started, and the Bakery Boys were already down to 10 players (they started with 16). It didn't take much to figure out what was going to happen here. The Chaos Dwarves pushed forwards, Stopping every once in a while to make sure there weren't too many 'flings on the pitch. Some suicidal moves (2 and 3d against blocks) probably didn't help the flings very much, but they slowed the TD down enough to keep the score at 1-2.
Only two 'flings were foolish enough to venture onto the pitch in the final drive, but one of them was fortunate enough to receive the MVP!”
