Note, luck readings out due to two disconnects.

A very close match!

The Squeakers started in offence, with one of their star player Gutter Runners Stealkwik pulling up sore minutes before the match for the third game in row (MA10 GR with Block, Tackle and Dauntless).

The Squeakers scored early and easily, and despite some decent defence, watched the Cowardly Elves do the same. On the next drive, the Squeakers were overconfident, and allowed the Cowardly Elves to knock the ball loose. A tense struggle ensued for the ball, with the Cowardly Elves managing to score after a couple of fortuitous blind grabs at the ball (first caught a bouncing ball in 3 TZs, then a hand off which missed due to 2 TZs and Foul Appearance scattered back onto the original player and he made the catch needing a 6) to take a 2-1 lead into the half time break.

In the second half, the Squeakers replied quickly thanks to a blitz, then were again unable to stop the Cowardly Elves scoring a reply despite some tight defence.

Trailing 2-3 with just over half of the second period to go, the Squeakers found themselves under some intense pressure from the Cowardly Elves and almost failed to score, but managed to secure the draw late in the second half.

A fun tight game. We both had some good and bad luck. In the first half, my opponent had a couple of very luck catches, and then he also got an intercept on my dump off (him needing a 6/7) and I failed my Safe Throw roll and had to reroll it.

Second half, I got some early luck with the Blitz. The end half of the second period was a classic. I got the ball deep, and he needed 2 GFIs to lay a TZ on me. He fails GFI 1 and doesn't reroll and badly hurts himself.

I do some blocks to secure my position downfield and get double skulls, rerolled to double skulls.

He sends another player after my Gutter Runner with the ball needing 2 GFIs to lay a TZ on me and again fails and stuns himself.

A topsy turvery game. Things looked very bad for the Cowardly Elves when I got a death on a Wardancer on turn 2 and he had to use his Apo, but I didn't get any other casualties for the match, but I bet my opponent's heart was in his mouth everytime I hit one of his players after that hehehe.

Anyways, a good fun close match and a fun opponent.
