As the half expired, Hemone took it upon his little shoulders to win the match for us, dodging w/o rr benefit through multiple tz's multiple times on his way to gfi twice to paydirt as the half expired.

This single-handed play must've charged up the rats, as they started to mow through the humans like sharp rat teeth through paper bags, scoring again to tie things up (though losing our RO in the process). A botched ball pickup by the humans was all we needed to steal the ball away and score once more, 3-2. When all rat ko's returned and not a single human returned, you just knew it was over...

But the humans never knew when to quit! A daring pass by a blitzer over a gutter's head to a rookie catcher in a tz resulted in a completion, and a cry of success by the humans! But this gutter had one last trick up his sleeve, diving to tackle the human catcher as he attempted to dodge to the tying score. Return the ball up the other way, lots of rats between humans and ballrat, game won again, right?

Until a lucky 1d POW opened up a hole for his agi4 blitzer to exploit, ko'ing our rat...and catching the ball on the bounce, unable to release it til next turn. Only there was no next turn, this was it, game over.
